  • Cardinale, Napa, Proprietary Red Wine 2013

“A brilliant wine from winemaker Chris Carpenter and the Kendall-Jackson family, this blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot, mostly coming from mountain vineyards owned by the Jackson family, is fabulous. The 2013 Cardinale Proprietary Red Wine is dense purple-colored, a big, sweet kiss of crème de cassis as well as licorice, blackberry and espresso are all present in this full-bodied, rather sublime and intense Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well for 25 or more years. This was aged in about 91% new French oak for 18-20 months prior to bottling. It is certainly one of the finest Cardinales I have tasted in my experience.” -96 WA

“Perfumed floral aromas join honeydew, honeysuckle, pear and green fig flavors in this rich, full-bodied effort.  Shows a touch of pithy grape and grapefruit peel on the finish, graced by a touch of minerality.  Drink now through 2020.” -90 WS

  • Jarvis, Estate, Cabernet Franc 2012

Herb and spice aromas with soft plum undertones lead you to fresh fruit flavors of blackberry and blueberry.  Aging twenty-two months in new French Nevers oak barrels added hints of toasty oak and vanilla to the berry and floral aromas of this wine. This wine is aged in the Jarvis caves and not released until our winemaker feels it is ready for full enjoyment. Best to consume within ten years.

  • Jarvis, Estate, Lake William Blend, 2009

A blend of almost equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with smaller handfuls of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this estate-grown wine is sanguine in smoky leather and tobacco. Rich, with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg, it has a lengthy finish that is balanced and elegant on the palate.
